Looks cool... What IS it??

Atomic Bands are super hero inspired dual motion sensor bands for interactive gaming. Create 3d worlds, play AR games, learn street dance or Shaolin kung fu! Features include: advanced real time motion tracking and pattern recognition, RBG LEDs, piezo haptics, audio and NFC communication. The yin yang motion gaming bands offer real time motion tracking without field of view restrictions. Single or multiplayer options via bluetooth. Recharge on a rad wireless oracle base station. Players learn REAL SKILLS: how to toprock, salsa or practice monkey kung fu. This IS next generation body motion gaming. We make fitness fun!

Real time motion tracking

Atomic Bands offer the most sophisticated gesture pattern recognition in the world.

Multiplayer bluetooth

This is the first ever device for multi player bluetooth gaming. Get ready to rumble!

The sky is the limit

Learn real movement skillz, play AR games, create new 3d worlds where gesture creates sound and landscape. Bend air and make your own Sonic Utopia

What's up with the yin yang?

Design-wise, Rosa figured out that the 2 parts of the device (left and right side) should come together like a Temple of Doom inspired magic oracle so folks would actually enjoy the awful task of charging their electrical device, the most annoying part of consumer electronics and usually an eyesore. There would be a Yin and Yang compopnent because the left side would constantly be communicating with the right. The Funky Bots teams decided to LEDs and an OLED for pinball like fun, piezo haptics with 2 different microhammers so people could do musical rhythm training and embedded the a motion sensing chip that would offer the most advanced pattern matching system in the world, to offer skeletal like tracking of movement, not just count steps.

ORIGINS

We are movement junkies, world champ street dancers, martial artists and top athletes

Posted 1 day ago

We are professional performing artists and athletes who want to share our love of movement with the world. FUNKY BOTS, We started with the idea of teaching how to train movement with rhythm, to feel the beat and move forever. Boom KLAK, Boom Boom KLAK.

They said it was impossible, but we did it!

Posted 23 days ago

Funky Bots is the brainchild of a Belgian urban dance group Cie 13/Rosa Mei. They toured for 10 years in 18 countries and Rosa made her first app in 2014 after not knowing what an app was in 2013. Her first app BoomKLAKers was chosen by Apple as Best New App in 108 countries. Folks said that was like a 1 in a million chance. Then Rosa made 2 other apps that were also featured by chosen by Apple as Best New App, all with ZERO marketing budget. When she decided she needed to create Atomic Bands to complete the FB gaming platform, folks said, "Impossible. Hardware dev is a bitch. Go find a million bucks!" which she didn't have, so she found a crazy robotics engineer hermit living on the Canary Islands and they DID IT! Alpha then Beta testing a success. BAM!!

Atomic Bands teach real movement skills, promote creativity and supports the arts

Posted 1 month ago

Our first app BoomKLAKers aimed to teach toddlers how to associated beats with movement. Boom KLAK, Boom Boom KLAK. Then we made Funky Bots where kids could create their own robot dances. Then we made the first motion sensor apps for tai chi and street dance and followed with the first 7 minute app for moving meditation. We're movement junkies who love dance and martial arts, and we obsessively make stuff. Fun & funny stuff is the best. Our goal is to GAMIFY FITNESS, and then support the arts by creating the first EVER royalty payment system for movement artists by sharing profits with the artists who help develop app content.
